Grimoire/Codex
Personally, I thought the story in D2 was/is amazing. Lots more dialog that makes sense, and great cinematics. But, now we have no grimoire cards, collectibles to help enhance that story. Albeit there is the lore tabs on exotics, but it is not near as in-depth like the books of sorrow.
I know I complained about the grimoire back in D1, but that’s because you had to go into an app or on the computer to access it.
Personally, I just want a codex system like the original Mass Effect Trilogy where it’s available in-game and on the app. I like reading lore, but now it’s more mixed up and not always available like before.
Not necessarily a complaint to Bungie, but my opinion and personal preference.
Update: Hey we’re trending! I appreciate all the responses and votes! Truly would like something to change whether it be one of these ideas or one of the ones I’ve seen from the rest of the community!

1 回复I was never that bothered by the old grimore system after all all I had to do was pick up my phone, open the app, go to grimore and read them it wasn’t that hard. That being said I would like the return of the grimore cards at the very least.

Desperately want a codex of some sort. My wife and I are both new to the franchise so I know nothing about the first game. I was completely lost as to wtf was going on in this story. Also the lack of any kind of recap or codex caused me to have zero interest in any of the characters. We play strictly for the gameplay/loot and no other reason. If going for the casual market was their goal (which I consider myself to be in), they really screwed the pooch.

I made a [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/242008534?sort=0&page=0]post[/url] about bringing back the grimoire last week (ideally as a codex similar to Mass Effect) and it got a pretty good response with a response from Bungie. I'd love to see a codex in game and in app since this game has so much lore that's missed.

If there is no chance that we get an in-game codex or grimoire, then at the very least I want Bungie to put more detailed lore tabs in the game (because I think it is a cool format) and also put lore tabs on a LOT more legendary weapons and armor besides just class items, trials, and raid gear
