it's actually getting worse for me. (i'm on xbox series x if it matters).
happened at least 4 times just yesterday. (legacy onslaught, salvation onslaught, nightfall, and patrol in pale heart).
i have unplugged the xbox to reset cache. does nothing to help.
Bungie’s response to this - “we are very sorry to hear you’re having this issue. Here’s how to fix your audio problem”.
This is the 10th post I’ve seen of someone reporting this. If one person is having an issue sure. But if multiple people are having this problem then it’s on you Bungie 😂😂

If you're on Steam, you can clear the cache by going to Steam>Settings>Downloads>Clear Download Cache.
