New Void Hunter Melee

I feel like it’s been past due for void hunters to get a new melee. I mean I love throwing some dirt in my enemies eyes, but I want something new please.

  • You mean warlock. Hunter void is just blam fine. Warlock Void Melee does absolutely blam nothing; especially to Titans. It kills nothing in pve even with necrotic grips which is bull blam. Y'all just want to me oppressively OP.

      If I could have things go my way I’d having something along the lines of the following: Melee 1: Void Crossbow I kinda want a mini crossbow made of void energy (think something like fully void Buried Bloodline in terms of looks). 3 charges. Applies volatile. Precision hits with the melee grant you a chunk of melee energy (ideally landing 3 precision hits with the melee gives you 1 charge back out of the 3). Melee 2: Hidden Blade It would be nice to have a Spectral Based Melee. I was thinking something like a combination of escape artist and backstab from D1 When out of stealth, the melee just applies weaken. When in stealth getting a backstab multiples the damage significantly. If the target dies from the attack then it returns your melee charge. You could have a playstyle where you chain melee backstabs.

    • I have an idea for a possible melee option: A shoulder charge-like ability that, after sprinting for the same amount of time shoulder charges require, you can activate your melee ability to blink forward and slash around you with a void sword, kind of like Worldline Zero's heavy attack. Despite what a lot of people have been suggesting, I don't think it should apply any kind of debuff, because that's Snare Bomb's job, and it would instantly become obsolete if other melees could debuff enemies to proc Stylish Executioner on top of actually dealing damage. This melee should just do high damage, to set it apart, and maybe interact with your Dodge in some way too, either generating a Void Breach, reducing your Dodge cooldown by a certain amount, or maybe even resetting it entirely.

    • It's the only light sub for hunter that never got an additional melee choice, so I gotta agree with this post. I just don't really have any suggestions other than making it a volatile type or a supressing type.

    • A kunai that inflicts volatile on the enemy it hits and if the enemy dies to the kunai it inflicts volatile on all nearby enemies instead.

    • Hunters have the most melees of any class in the game 😆 look how many throwing knife’s you have. Let other classes catch up first.
