1.) Yes (to my knowledge) 2.) Digi isn't difficult until UVHM.

I'm pretty sure I got a pearlescent weapon at level 20 or so; it's pure luck. At level 42 with some decent weapons (*cough*, [i]Rapid Infinity,[/i] *cough*) you should be okay to start with, but it becomes seriously challenging as you progress through each level. I loved this DLC...
