Aside from the distracting cursing, (which I totally understand your frustration) this post hits all points spot on. Destiny is designed as a gear-drop driven grind game. We play and play and play to finally get the good drops we are seeking, or at least the materials to make to the drops better (etheric light). Our guardians are suppose to be our "Legend". This is something that we create with our choices. By preventing further ascension of our hard fought loot, you are taking away our choices as a player. It took me the better part of a year of grinding VoG to get Vex Mythoclast. And now that I finally have it, you are arbitrarily halting its progression with me. This is insulting and unnecessary. Keeping a fully ascended Vex in my arsenal will not stop me from seeking out other new and exciting weapons. I will still grind away as I always have done. It is a slap in the face to dictate how we shape our own Legend.
