I've done this before and so have others, but I just wanting to get a gauge of where the current community is. I wanted to see how long each of you have been here. Personally, I have been playing Bungie games for over a decade now, but have been on Bungie.net since 2008. So, here is my poll question:
How long have you been a part of the Bungie.net community?
Feel free to discuss your favorite memories from Destiny, the Halo franchise, Oni, Marathon, or any other game Bungie has made...

Played a lot of Myth: TFL on Bungie.net in the late mid 90s Played marathon 1, 2 and infinity. Used to make maps with Forge on a Macintosh Performa 6300 Those were the days.

Around 1992 or so, I played Minotaur on the school LAN. I don't think I really got into the community until Marathon though. I frequented the Bungie website and was somewhat active on Marathon's Story and the Bungie AOL group (or whatever it was called). I started poking around the forums when Myth came out, and when Bungie finally had forums. I was a huge Marathon fan at the time, so I was feeling a little left out by all the Myth chatter in the forums. Which is probably how Halo players feel now. I was really looking forward to Halo and Oni, but only one of them made it to the Mac/PC (at first). I finally picked up Halo in 2004 and had some fun with it. But I hadn't been playing as many FPS games and had recently gotten into World of Warcraft. I never ended up getting an Xbox, so I didn't get around to playing the rest of the Halo games until 2014. All in all, I've dusted off the old Mac now and again and played some Pathways Into Darkness, Oni and Marathon again via Aleph One. I really do miss Marathon, it almost feels like Destiny is a sort of sequel to Marathon. Except they decided to have it take place in a dimension/universe where a roaming W'rkncacnter is tearing around the Galaxy chasing down a big white Jjaro probe. That said, I'd give up a kidney for Marathon 3 (or 4 if you count Infinity as 3). So yeah, I've been around a while and been in the thick of Bungie's two major transitions (to and away from Microsoft).

Played ever since H3 back in the good ol' days when you was 11 and wanted the Ninja/Samurai armor so badly (not gonna butcher the name)

由Dooodley編輯: 1/6/2016 9:37:29 PMThis account - which isnt my original one - is turning 11 in two weeks. Had it not been for the Bungie legacy I most definitely wouldnt have been here today and I'm an idiot for sticking around during the Destiny era.

I've been here for four years, soon will be my fifth. Should emblems be given for a certain amount of years?

由C-Sentinel編輯: 1/6/2016 9:10:42 PMI popped up around a year before Destiny. (Didn't make an acct until about a month after Destiny dropped) Came on the forums a little around ODST, only when I was at my friend's house who was a major Halo fanatic and got bored. Don't know what results you're expecting. Most of the "Bungie Community " hangs around Seventh Collumn and Off Topic. Go there whenever you want to escape the salt and chat with other Vets.

Looks like over half of the responding population has been a part of the Bungie community since Destiny dropped, less than two years. It is good to see a good population of long-time Bungie fans (8 or more years) still around, too
