New Weapon/Armor Class: "Mythic/Red-Engrams."

Just an idea that I've been thinking of, after I saw a similar idea on a Youtube video a while ago. What if Bungie added a new class as a mid-way tier between "Legendary" and "Exotic"? A class of Red/"Mythic" Weapons that are similar to some of the better Legendaries, or even Year-1 Exotics, but have an added perk to set them apart and make them desirable? Just as an example: A "Mythic" Eyasluna, which is virtually identical to the Legendary, but it would have an additional Perk to set it apart and make it more desirable than it's Legendary Counter-Part. Something like an Elemental-Burn, or another ability, unique to it and ONLY it. Like a "Hawkeye-Bullet" perk. "One random bullet in the magazine will slightly-track its target and deal bonus damage." Or a Mythic Imago Loop with an ability like: "One random, full clip of ammunition will be refunded when the final-shot in the magazine is a precision-kill." These could be obtained by buying Quest-Lines from either certain Factions, or maybe even something new to buy from Xur, to help keep them being distributed at a regular-pace, to make it more balanced between people who play 8+ hours a week and people who only play 2-3 hours a week. The details of "Requirements" and "Prerequisites" can be speculated and debated, of course. Maybe to get a Mythic version of a Legendary-Weapon, you would already need to possess the Legendary-Weapon, itself. - "You must first possess the Base-Design of this weapon before you can complete it's Mythic-Quest Line." Though in the interest of keeping the game active, you wouldn't have to wait until Xur was selling your specific "Mythic Quest" of choice. You might just buy something like a "Red-Envelope" that you would then open, and would engage in a quest for one of the Legendary-Weapons in your current possession. In other words, if you have Eyasluna or Imago Loop equipped at the time that you open the "Red Envelope," it would engage you in the Mythic-Quest for that weapon. This way, as long as you have the weapon, you can engage in the quest any time that you can purchase the Quest-Starter from your Faction-Leader or from Xur. And to address it before it's questioned: I would say that maybe you would only be able 1 "Mythic-Class" item/weapon at a time, but you would also be able to have an Exotic item/weapon equipped at the same time. In other words, it wouldn't rob you of your Exotic-Slot. You could use your Black Spindle and your Mythic "Eyasluna" at the same time, and still have a Legendary Heavy-Weapon to round out your arsenal. I know there will be critics in the comments that point out there are still flaws in this idea, and I agree. But that's why this is a Working-Hypothesis. Help me craft it, give your own suggestions and ideas. I really feel like adding in the mid-tier between "Legendary" and "Exotic" could give us a whole new substance to this game to help revitalize it's replay-ability.
