So,what was that exact moment when you realized Halo had a good run? Don't just generalize it to an entire game, make it that one moment when you said to yourself "Yeah this is -blam!-ing retarded".
For me it's when The Librarian told Chief that ends up the entire SPARTAN program was barely a human creation and it was actually the Forerunners who did everything. Also ends up Master Chief is the chosen one
God dammit 343i not everything has to be related to the forerunners, also what's wrong with making the Chief just some average but bullshit lucky SPARTAN?

Yeah let me tell you when halo died it started as a snowball with Halo 4, wasn't bad but it was not fantastic at all. But somehow that snowball turned into a man eating yeti because when halo 5 came out 343 thought it would be swell to turn halo into -blam!-ing call of duty. the -blam!- were they thinking. Armor looks stupid as shit we look like a bunch of weird ass bug people instead of armored up soldiers. What the hell happened. Did they think that halo 1-reach have done so well that shit we should change it up entirely and hope that they'll like it. Call of -blam!-ing duty halo WTF 343 and -blam!- you very much Microsoft for being greedy -blam!- mongers and adding that in game CARD PACK BULLSHIT. -blam!- this isn't Hearthstone!!!!!! GET THAT NON CONSOLE/PC GAME SHIT OUT OF HERE!!!!

They also did things like coin our terminology/slang, designate which planets we could and couldn't colonize, escalate the insurrection, and select which planets the Covenant glassed next. Speaking of which, if Halo had ended at Reach, and you asked this same question, my answer would be the Reach data pads. In their own respect, it's not a bad premise, but for Bungie's storytelling, it came out of no where and didn't fit the theme of Reach, or the content they'd produced that came before.

Don't just generalize it to an entire game, make it that one moment when you said to yourself "Yeah this is -blam!-ing retarded".
I haven't, and a whole lot of other people haven't either. It's just the part of the community that has is far more vocal than the part that isn't.
For me it's when The Librarian told Chief that ends up the entire SPARTAN program was barely a human creation and it was actually the Forerunners who did everything. Also ends up Master Chief is the chosen one
Alright two things, firstly this was %100 acceptable within the canon. This is accomplishable with something called a Geas, which are basically biological memories or ideas that are implanted in ones race. If Halsey hadn't made the Spartans, eventually someone else would have. Spartans are more similar to Ancient Humans than you or I, and as I said this was basically destined to happen because the memories sit in every human's skull. This also means that you are incorrect in assuming that the forerunners did everything, because they were basically just giving us the advancements that our ancestors had done billions of years ago. As well the Geas was introduced to lore in 2011, about a year before halo 4 even came out. Secondly chief isn't the "Chosen One", he just happened to be the most capable human to stop the Didact at the time. If Kelly or Fred had been in his place, the Librarian would have given them the same speech and the same augments. You could say that chief just got lucky.
God dammit 343i not everything has to be related to the forerunners, also what's wrong with making the Chief just some average but bullshit lucky SPARTAN?
Well would you rather it be about the Precursors, or as you probably know them, the Flood? Or what if we just kept fighting the covenant for pretty much no reason? Exploring the forerunners and bringing them back as a major faction was the natural progression of things and people need to learn to accept that. Humanity was going to go poking around in all those relics and dissecting forerunner tech, and Spark was proof enough that the forerunners still had a presence in this universe. As well chief may be something special right now, but as I said before, he represents the next stage in human evolution. This was preordained to happen, and in a few generations all of humanity will be as he is now. We will take back the position we once held in the galaxy and become something more entirely. What's so wrong about that?
kinda gr8 b8 m8
Hasn't for me. halo reach I was able to enjoy because of invasion and infection. halo 4 I immensely enjoyed infection. But the standard arena MP was admittingly pretty weak. Halo 5 is my favorite halo all around if we don't include halo CE. IMO anyone who declares a video game series dead based upon some things they don't enjoy is likely being a melodramatic child. It's not like we have a screw up as big as Metroid other M on our hands here.

由ZeroCool編輯: 6/13/2016 10:53:26 PMNever. I've read all the books and know better. Halo is love, Halo is life and I am glad that 343i has done a terrific job with it. That is my opinion, so everybody else who reads this and disagrees, you can kiss my arse 😄 Anyways, THREAD DISLIKED because you assumed to know what Halo players like and don't like.

Halo died with Halol 4, specifically when 343 talked about it during their panel at a conference after release. This picture made me lose all faith in 343. I consider the MCC and Halo 5 good attempts to restore the series, but they are severely lacking in their own ways.

Never. Its kind of hard to be totally focused on the same person and have the same mechanics for 15 years dude. Problem with games these days is if you don't change it up enough people will bitch and say it's the same as the previous title in the franchise Change too much and people bitch that it doesn't have the original roots(such as this thread) Finding the perfect spot to please everyone in a situation like this is like finding a needle in a haystack. Bottom line is you can't please everyone.

由RedWolfLegend編輯: 6/9/2016 9:37:25 PMI don't think it's dead. Halo 5 has in my opinion the best arena experience and the BEST customization out of any halo game. Warzone is one of the greatest new modes to ever come to halo. All of the req weapons are interesting and unique. Ok sure the campaign was sub-par but at least some of the levels were fun. Edit: Well, I guess people got butthurt by my opinion so let me clarify, This is my opinion.
