D1 had a lot of issues with balance and ability spamming. However, it was much more satisfying to play and you could use multiple play strategies. D2 has some great balancing but I find a few things could use some work as it's very one dimensional.
1.) Too much health/shield on guardians - the TTK is too forgiving and puts emphasis on moving around in groups for team shooting? Do you really find that skillful or fun? There's not much variation available to how you're able to play. Group up or die.
2.) Hit registration seems off.
3.) opponents blend in with the background. ADS-ing seems to have a strange effect of causing guardians to blend in with the background. I know I'm not blind. Lol.
4.) solo players are being punished - either team up or die. Again, reiterate the need for grouping up to team shot or die again. You cannot carry your team alone like you could in D1, there's only one dimension of play and it gets boring.
My suggestion:
- Cause fireteams to match equal # fireteams
- let solo players be allowed to match only against other solo players. Overwatch did this and it works!
- lower overall guardian health
- lower grenade & melee damage to compensate for health reduction.
- keep weapons balanced as is
- increase guardian contrast to keep visibility? I don't know what to suggest here but that might help them with blending in with vegetation and dark areas. D1 didn't have this issue.
- implement adjustable aiming mechanics like PC has.
Pretty simple - PvE is amazing but I simply can't get into this One dimensional PvP.
*Additional Issues*
- Hand Cannons damage needs adjusted in the positive direction as damage falloff is very sharp. Console gameplay makes them seem weak.
- Hand Cannon recoil can be random
- Hand Cannon hit registration is very poor, probably due to bloom being brought back to full strength? They feel off as a whole.
- Hand Cannon reticle/ red dot is faint and can get lost in engagements making follow up shots difficult.
- Inability to adjust your aiming mechanics
- High aim assist can throw your shots off even worse than D1.

Honestly only touch pvp for the weekly milestones. Its just not fun anymore. Too focused around competitive style play. What happened to making PvP fun? Remember Mayhem mode? Bungie is just trying to cash out and get D2 to be an Esport like the other activision games (Call of Duty and Overwatch)

D1 crucible was a great game mode but with a few flaws. Instead of building on it they took that solid base and ripped it apart. Teams too small, maps too small, weapons so feeble that the only way to compete is huddle in a group and team shoot. For solo players it is a horrible experience. D1 was addictive as all hell. Every month I looked forward to iron banner. It was the highlight of my month. Now I can't bear to be in the crucible. I have finished the campaign mode so is it now just raids and strikes. Rinse and repeat.

All I know is some players feel like bullet sponges in PvP. Full mag into someone... only their shields are down. Two shots hit me and I'm destroyed..

I find pvp in most games is chaotic for a while just after release, but once the community settles in and gets a feel for it you can see more accurately the strengths and weaknesses of the game. I think everyone should just calm down and wait a bit longer before complaining.

由Gridzzz編輯: 9/12/2017 12:17:54 AMI know you have to get this off your chest but bungie wont do anything we want just check the community made wish list and laugh . They don't give a shit. 由TheCyo編輯: 9/12/2017 12:13:30 AMI have multi kilo hours in Crucible D1. I have now two 280+ characters in D2 and only touched D2 Crucible for the mile stones. And the times I played it, it was even worse than in the beta. As a solo player I faced almost exclusively 4 man clan teams who team shoted everything into the ground. Some ppl who say they have fun in this new Crucible may be able to outgun 4 ppl who always stand shoulder on shoulder. Well, I am not. So the new Crucible for the solo player is basically a running from cover to cover always an eye on the radar and to know when to retreat. The whole thing is slow, boring and not fun.
1.) Too much health/shield on guardians - the TTK is too forgiving and puts emphasis on moving around in groups for team shooting? Do you really find that skillful or fun?
Yes. You know what I don't find fun or skillfull? -Everyone running around with the same OP primary -People slide/blink shot gunning for an entire game -People camping at the back of maps with snipers hard scoping all game -Supers -blam!-ing everywhere! -all the OHK and OP ability combos You talk about high health pools being forgiving, but think abilities and weapons that OHK are not? Lol ok

Couldn't agree more. The very best part of D1 PvP, from my narrow little window, is when u were the last guardian standing. "This is it, if I can just make them think I'm doing this..." Then BOOM. You did it, pulled of the clutch, went flawless, won the round, wrecked your friends, whatever. In almost every encounter if u were good enough or lucky enough, you could outplay the mob. You had a chance to win... In D2... Unless u are playing against the very worst of players, or they are already crippled... 2 or more at a time you are going to lose unless you run away. There is no luck, no skill, no strategy that will prevent this besides good ol' panic super. I dunno, I won't say its awful yet, I'm still getting used to the changes. But if nothing changes, I'll be bored real quick. Also, how did they Eff up snipers so bad?! They were perfect after they added flinch, and I'm a sniper. Did they just forget how awful no flinch snipers were or something? I should not be making these shots.

Why even bother with these posts? Bungie doesn't give a blam!, won't read your post, and would NEVER actually do something the community wants.

idk why people are complaining about getting ganked in solo que, I for one spank all those gankers in clans. But ive always been good as lone wolf.

Necro, exactly my thoughts! If they would've at least included 4/5 player rumble for those solos who want fair gunfights without a clusterf#%k teamshooting... please, whoever feels the same, make bungie listen to us and fight for rumble!

That D1 nostalgia factor is kicking in on some players lol D1 crucible was terrible. Fun at times but it was terrible. The only real complaint I've seen is that the TTK is slower so it makes it hard to win 2v1 scenarios for the average player. Also that 4v4 is okay for competitive but isn't okay for quick play. Bungie should make quick play 6v6, but the real question is the community ready for the lag fest D1 was? The reasoning behind the 4v4 was to reduce the lag and so you can get in a match sooner.
yeah the matchmaking is slow right now bc most players are still doing all the pve stuff atm
Long story short crucible is the way it is now bc "We" as a community made it this way. All those nerf this nerf that made D2 what it is today. So deal with it lol

Also. Idk if it was like this in D1 but the mini map delay after stopping ads kinda irritates me. It puts me at a huge disadvantage when I'm being rushed but don't know where

Considering that the crucible was absolutely terrible in nearly every aspect in the first game, they couldn't possibly make it worse. Destiny just isn't built for a competitive PvP experience. If they make it as identical to the rest of the game as they possibly can, it becomes an unbalanced mess. If they try to separate it entirely from PvE, it would be one balanced and competitive, but for many people it would defeat the purpose of playing Destiny for PvP. I just choose to not play crucible. There's many other games built for PvP, that do everything far better. If I feel like PvP I'll just play one of those games.

4vs4 is fine, but bungie really needs to figure out how to pair parties fired teams with each other. Solo queuing on this game is suicide.

由AI software編輯: 9/10/2017 6:16:25 PMThey supposedly made D2 PvP competitive to encourage teamwork, but in my opinion having 4 players huddled together in a 5 foot radius is not teamwork. Teamwork is flanking, defending friendly points, attacking enemy points, and so on. Most of which you can't do if the other team is running around the map in a group. It's now whoever has more people in a firefight wins that encounter, rather than relying on skill.

HUGE step backwards long ass time to kill horrible hit detection on HC's 30 fps Peer to Peer only 4v4 long time to kill sniper flinch

Ive been playing since launch day D1 and strictly play PVP. 3 v 3 matches were way better in D1 because the game lasted longer, gave players more options for strategy, and everyone wasnt running in a group of 4 mowing down enemies. There is nothing wrong with team work but the fact that the games are all about team shooting does in fact make the game get annoying and somewhat boring. Running with a herd and team shooting is one strategy that takes away the opportunity for individuals to try their own stunts and succeed. People also want to be able to come out on top but still do their own things, play their own way etc... yes this is still possible in D2, but, the 4v4 instead of 3v3 matches forces players to run in groups to stay alive. Not everyone wants to always run in a herd to live. Failing to stay in the group will lead to an increased likelihood of death. Some people might call this team play but it is not very cooperative. And cooperation involves giving players options to work their own distinctive plays in the game; not just forceful group running. Bungie needs to consider how the 4v4 amount is ruining this aspect of the game. Many people in the community feel this way as its evident on these forums. They also need to give options for crucible modes instead of random assignments.
