I've been quiet for a long time, but the new light reveal and Shadowkeep videos have brought me back to the forums for a couple of questions and a little speculation.
With Destiny 2 going 'free to play' how long until we get all the Destiny 1 content and raids and story lines reintroduced? Or will we? I love Venus and that's been totally dark since Gaul stole our light at the beginning of Destiny 2. Revisiting Venus? Revisiting the fall of the Reef?
To borrow a line from tfs cell.. "I have so many questions!"
To continue. Cross save will essentially sync your data across all platforms so you can jump from playing your monster killer on ps4 to finishing the last wish on computer and earning thousand voices then going back to ps4 and using your shiney new exotic on PS4 right?
Finally the most important thing imaginable.
Those of us who have been here buying the special edition bundles with the fancy white PlayStations and buying season passes and fighting back the darkness from day zero.. the game goes free to play.. what kind of special snowflake treatment do we get?
The biggest thing I can think of is what happens to destiny 2 when destiny 3 inevitably comes out?
Will destiny two disappear into the shadows as everyone migrates to destiny three like when everyone left destiny one to push back the darkness of Destiny Two?
And what's the lifespan of the service look like? Let's look forward thirty years. I totally understand if twenty years go by and I load into orbit and I'm literally the only guardian in matchmaking it's probably time to sunset the servers and call it dead but what are the actual projections looking like are you guys going to keep servicing the game as long as there's audience enough to keep rolling or are you looking to continue adding to the game indefinitely like World of Warcraft?
There's so much to ask like is the darkness actually our enemy or is it simply a passive force that our actual enemies just use much like our void wielding guardians?
Will we ever take the fight back to the cabal homeworld? The Vex? The Hive? The Fallen? Where's the TRUE ENDGAME going to come in? Destiny 3? Or are we looking at destiny 3's continuing expansions (Destiny 4 essentially) being the vessel for climactic super wars like those?
I had this image of a giant vex supergate at the heart of Mercury we'd highjack to strike Deep into the heart of the vex networks.
"Questions for later."

This is what I want to know. I've always said I'd come back to Destiny if bungie made changes well enough in my eyes to warrant a return. I may put up with the bullshit that enhancement cores are, if I get to replay D1 content in D2.
