I don't understand why the crucible is in such a poor state... I decided to try out competitive for the first time so far this season. 8 weeks into the season and in my rank-up matches, and I am placed against people who are already at the top rank (ascendant to be clear.) Not players that are non-ranked and even somewhat close to my skill level. Nope, Just mindless apes using a broken trials SMG (the immortal) with literally the fastest ttk in the game. This definitely hinders the experience and I feel even worse for the players who are worse than me at this game or want to try and experience this "competitive" mode and this is what they are treated with. I would love for someone from Bungie to explain the mindset behind this kind of "matchmaking" and why this shouldn't be the way it is intended to work. Can't wait to see this discussed in a future TWAB.
