My Warlock and I have become Shader Collectors thru the years, curating some great ones from challenges and drops. We nearly did BACKFLIPS when Photo Finish was announced as having end-of-season EV availability. For background- my main is a Solar Well Warlock rocking Sunbracers. Our whole thing is how opulently we can deck out with ornaments, shaders, etc. Well, I've been running Majestic Celestine armor ornaments and GRINDING to get all those components their associated tasks completed to activate their glows. I thought that was the end, but when Photo Finish came to my attn... Hoooooooo buddy, was I stoked. But then I buy the thing- and it gives NO RGB cycling on Celestine Majestic armor ornament glows! WTH? Brutal disappointment to have a shader marketed as "uniquely able to cycle armor glows thru RGB" that omits select glows. So Bungie- Zchaboi has never asked for a THING- but please fix this!!!!
This will likely never be changed as it is an intended feature of this armor, not a bug.
As you’re no doubt aware the Celestine Armor set is just one example of what is more broadly known as Solstice Armor (armor sets tied to the yearly Solstice Seasonal event).
A fully upgraded piece of Solstice Armor has always provided a distinctive white glow that cannot be altered by swapping out the attached Shader.
The decision to prevent the aforementioned glows from being influenced by Shaders was no doubt largely driven by the inclusion of Solstice Armor Eververse Ornaments, which feature glows that change color based on your currently equipped Subclass.
If the upgraded Solstice Armors had glows that could shift color based on the equipped Shader, it stands to reason that would have at least some impact on the sale of their Eververse counterparts. As such I just don’t foresee this ever being changed to address your concern.
