Has anyone played the Dauntless Awakening update? I was a daily Dauntless player for quite a while (until I got the Destiny bug honestly.) I was waiting anxiously for the new update to see what they did. Weapon swapping was a major selling point for me to get back in. I'm a firm believer in waiting a few weeks so the studios can fix bugs, so I haven't logged in yet. I have watched some Creators and their reactions. It sounds like PL/Forte gutted a fair part of the core of the gameplay (buildcrafting) and has made the grind waaayyyy worse. It sounds as if they've made the weapons PtW. Can you get a decent build now without spending real $$? I don't mind a free to play game having paid extras. They need to make money to keep working on the game somehow. I liked the fact that Dauntless was paid cosmetics only before. Can anyone comment on the weapons you can buy now? Are they stronger? Do they change gameplay? Or are they just a cosmetic? I did see PL has released the patch notes early for the first patch. As I'd expect, there's tons of stuff in there. A little much for me to sort out all in one go, especially with not having actually played yet. Comments?
