I can't say this very often, but my fellow Finns have made me proud today. A petition for equal marriage started today morning, and within just few hours it had reached the 50 000 names that are needed. Next step is taking the bill to the parliament, where they have to discuss it now, after that chance was dismissed earlier this year. Let's take a moment to recognize how great the Finnish people can be, when they really want to.
