Do you play an instrument? What do you play? Have you ever wanted to pick up a new instrument?
I've been thinking about picking up a viola, but I've got no idea if I could learn to play it or not.

I play the flute for school and bass for fun. I am also getting into some singing. I always want to learn a new instrument, but I never have the time or opportunity to. A list of ones I've wanted to play: Piano, French Horn, Trombone, Bari Sax, Trumpet, Soprano Sax, and some Ukulele or Acoustic Guitar.

Turntablist for several years. Did some club gigs and hired for some house parties and such before I had kids. My buddy is a classically trained guitarist and offers to teach me all the time, but I have little time or interest for it.

I do! :D I play trombone, trumpet, horn, baritone, and tuba. Also percussion, but I suck at mallets. And piano, but only as a comp, not melodically. Oh, and sing, but that's more Jazz than classical, because I don't have a very classical sounding voice.

I'm a guitar guy. Classical style. I try to copy the style of a nylon string, but I'm happy with my watcha ma maple guitar

I ain't with all of this instrument stuff. Real music is rap. That's where all the true musicians go, why do you think they are so much popular now? Because they all have more talent than one dumb violinist. You should learn to rap. Here's some instructional Videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61gC-2U2I-c
I've been thinking about picking up a viola
Do it, its fun. That's the first one I learned how to play. To be honest I enjoy the parts written for the viola more than those written for the violin or cello. They might just be filling in harmonies or small melodic parts but the slightly deeper sound is just better imo. Alto clef is the best. The only instruments I can play are orchestral: Violin Viola Cello Double Bass Harp

Guitar and a bit of piano. I can play a few songs on (my flying v) ukulele but I wouldn't say that I can "play" it.
