So... tactical helicopter rides. (+ a company level atttack)
These are both videos from the training exercise Courgar Defender for the Canadian 39 Brigade. I'm in the above video extremely briefly. At the 1:32 mark, I'm with the group on the left, you can recognize me as the first guy to toss his bag onto the helicopter. Otherwise you don't see me at all really.
A buddy took an other video the first time we went (this was the second ride) where I'm very obviously in it, but he's being a bum and being too lazy to upload it.
I was shocked at how softly they landed and how quickly they could maneuver. I was sitting in the side seat with the door wide open while it took 90 degree turns that had me facing strait down. It was incredible how I felt no down force at all.
So, who else has been on helicopters?
