Hey all, Im just here in hopes to bring a little bit of constructive feedback amongst all of the hate mongering thats taking place on the forums.
First thing I would like to point out is side movements and stairs. More than often I found myself in a rather nasty situation of a hellacious firefight, hopping about, hovering around, sprinting away from charging majors. Also more than often, I have run into the scenario where I would be strafing in one direction or another, and when I try to go up some stairs (just regular steps that everyone can walk or run up on), that first step seams to suddenly stop the player from moving into that direction unless you physically jump over the step. It can be a real pain in the butt when you're under fire and not expecting that step to suddenly and spontaneously stop your movement for no apparent reason, and has gotten me killed a few times.
Another little thing I want to bring into light is physics, more in particular the Phalanx Shield of Death. If encountered this situation a few times where the Phalanx Soldier's shield suddenly has the power of the Architects. I small little shield bump attack quite literally flung my poor guardian across the plains of Mars, only to decorate the cliff side with his carcass. Other incidents include Phalanx Soldiers doing a small shield swipe attack against a gaurdian who is pinned against a hard surface (e.g. large rock, metal wall, bunker building, etc) and without warning your gaurdian suffers instant death by the architects. I understand that physics can and do play a large part in the battle (getting flung by the Archon Priest for example), but I just wanted to point out that frequently those physics suddenly increase their power by a factor of 10 for no apparent reason. (Reminds me of the good ole Halo Days)
These are just some things that I thought might need to be brought to light, and hopefully will encourage other players to share some experiences in regards to some of the random punishments dealt out by the games physics. (Im sure others out there have had the bounty where you're so close to finishing that 9000 xp mark, but then the Architects come down and say NOPE!)
