Please notice: This has nothing to do with the new ping indicator that seems buggy, show red pings randomly.
I've experienced a lot of players playing with unbelievably bad connection. They don't recognise if you shoot them, teleporting around or you just get your kill 3-8 seconds after you killed one of those laggers.
I highly recommend to implement a ping limit to kick laggers with a Ping above ~80/120ms.
This is a really important step to stop this unacceptable lags.
Laggers should have no right to play competitive multiplayer as long as they don't have a solid ping. This should be a part of the online gaming Terms & Conditions.
If you agree with me I'd really appreciate if you bump or /sign.

Thanks for spewing toxicity about the situation and telling us what people don't have a right to do. Elitist much? I'm one of those players. Lol, that means you didn't deserve any kills you got on players like me and since I lag so bad I can shoot into the future. I have to be that good to play on pvp with my lag lololol. I want to improve my situation with lag, but don't tell me I don't even have the "right" to play.

Don't you just love it when you're having a few good games (regardless of stats or win/lose), and then all of a sudden Mr. Proud Puerto Rican or Brazilian just jumps in with his red bar, and just lags so hard that he glitches across the screen and goes 30-0 because no one can hit his lagging ass?

I agree with lag players getting own servers, what I do not like is the fact that bungie is part of the problem. I have friends with fiber optic speeds and see lame red bar appear in pvp

由Gary 編輯: 11/20/2014 10:32:24 PMI have had this happen is PVE lately. slap slap slap, my machine shows me winning, host re -sets the data and the bad guy is fine again...... And PVP, well the less said the better... Even the shitty old pc based fps allowed you to set ping limits..... 2014 and bungie cant find its ass with both hands.

I agree to ping limit servers, but don't agree with some of your other points. It would be great if we had an option to play with other high speed connections, ping limit kick turned on, region lock. Then average speed lobbys and finally slow speed lobbys.

Destiny supposedly has dedicated servers and also uses p2p. Whatever happened to migrating host? One thing I don't understand though is this: why is it those with a supposed good connection end up kicked from the game because of error codes while those with poor connections don't experience hiccups?

由Tuxedo402編輯: 11/20/2014 7:50:30 AMFor me it's exactly the other way round ... i sometimes have a very bad connection and because of this everytime i shoot first the enemy kills me and then i get a post mortem kill ... another example happened yesterday: i tried to kill 2 enemies from behind with nearly 20 bullets of my machine gun and the game didn't recognize my shots ... so again they killed me and i got 2 post mortem kills and i don't even know why my connection is that bad !? i never had any problems in other games (COD, Batllefield, AC, ...) ... to me it seems that the problem is caused by the game itself

I play metal gear solid online and if you have bad connection everybody just votes to kick you. Sorry peeps. No free ride!

Xbox one has dedicated servers Are your ports open? http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11930 Hope this helps

The biggest problem, too, is that the lag comp is just ridiculous for the 100+ pings. It's BS to hit someone with a super, and they get an extra 3-10 seconds to kill everyone and get crazy streaks and supers because they can't afford a decent internet connection. Most top boards as of late are all red-bar connections because they glitch across the screen, and you can't hit them.
-
At the same time, let me select the maximum ping to a host that I am willing to join. I hate that modern games don't show you lobbies with latencies and let you pick... I hate even more when games try to hide lag with game play... like COD's one/two hit death or Destiny's more obnxious embrace of Postmortem kills.

Been saying this since day one, when I starting posting frequently about the need for ping bars. Now everyone sees what a few of us were bitching about at the beginning. There needs to be reverse lag imposed on the poor connections.

I agree something needs to be done. Majority of the red bar players I run into are top of the scoreboard in game because they won't die when you shoot them. Every one else has green bar and this guy with red bar is getting some kind of lag advantage. I report them for bad connection but I doubt the report feature does jack shit.
