Bible written by man.
So right wing christians are aware that the bible was written and edited by man. 325 yrs after christ a human society created (through editorial process)what we now know to be the bible.

1 回覆I think the worst part is mans interpretation of the words. It seems the men (and probably women) who put it together had the best intentions. But people have been known to read it in some backward ass ways. Hey! Jesus teaches us to love and forgive everyone. Now let's start a war with the Muslims! Seriously. Wtf is with that?

14 回覆If I understand you correctly your confused why people would believe a book that was written by humans, in some cases along time after Jesus death. My humble opinion is the bible claims many supernatural occurrences, including bringing people back to life. Simple answer: if you choose to believe the bible you are believing in a lot of supernatural power. It's not a stretch at all for the bible to claim the authors were inspired by God, I mean look at what else it claims. You either believe it or not. Your question is a good question however. If you really are curious about ancient text the history channel has done multiple documentaries on the bible and other writings, very informative.

78 回覆That is not true. The bible is a collection of history, myth, poems, proverbs, prophecies, teachings, letters, revelations. It spans across 66 books, written across over 3000 years. The Old Testament was complied first in the first century. The Holy Bible itself was officially compiled in the fourth century. Many of course have their opinions of the inspiration of it all. For the faithful, myself included, it is an amazing record of God's dealings with humankind throughout the ages. It shows God's love and majesty, through out it's pages. If there are mistakes or short fallings, let us remember that men are not perfect. God Bless.

12 回覆Written by multiple authors over hundreds of years, all the books of the Bible hold the same key ideas, that God is sending a savior. While written by men, we believe that it was by divine inspiration by God. The translations also differ very little because modern translations are based on the original hebrew and greek manuscripts. The exception is the KJV and NKJV which are based on the latin translation.

1 回覆I would have to agree that the bible was written by man. I would venture to say it's not written by canine, feline, bovine...or any other animal for that matter.
