Updated 7 PM - [BUNGIE] Known Issue: Missing Currencies and Materials after Update 2.7.1
Hello all,
We are actively investigating an issue where players may have lost some of their Glimmer, Bright Dust, Infusion Materials, and/or other types of game currencies. As part of the investigation, we are bringing Destiny 2 offline to prevent further loss of materials.
We will provide updates here and on [url=https://twitter.com/BungieHelp]@BungieHelp[/url] as we determine the cause of this issue.
[u][b]11 AM Update[/b]: [/u]
We believe we have identified the cause of this issue and are working on a fix internally. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline until we have a better understanding of the timeline for this fix. We will provide another update by 12 PM Pacific.
[u][b]12 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We are testing a fix for this issue internally, including investigating resolutions that would restore missing currencies and materials to players. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline while we test this fix. We will provide another update by 1 PM Pacific.
[u][b]1 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We are continuing to perform tests of possible solutions to restore missing currencies and materials to players. Destiny 2 will remain offline until the issue can be resolved. We will provide another update by 2 PM Pacific.
[u][b]2 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We have validated a fix for this issue and will be rolling back all player accounts to how they were before Update 2.7.1 went live. Destiny 2 will remain offline for several more hours as we deploy this fix. Another update will be provided by 3 PM Pacific.
[u][b]3 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We’re continuing work to fix the issue that caused loss of currencies and materials. All player accounts will be rolled back to the state they were in at around 8:30 AM Pacific.
- Players may have to redo any progress or quests they completed between 8:30 - 10 AM PST.
- Purchases made between 8:30 - 10 AM PST will need to be redone. Silver spent during that time will be restored.
- Destiny 2 Silver purchases from the platform store will be added back to player accounts.
- "The Pidgeon and the Phoenix" Lore being removed is a separate issue and will be resolved in a future update
Another update will be provided around 4 PM Pacific.

We’re continuing to work on player account rollbacks and estimate that Destiny 2 will be brought back online at 7 PM Pacific.

Rollback for player accounts is complete and Destiny 2 servers are back online. Players may experience login issues as services return to normal.

I lost 4 upgrade modules and a small amount of glimmer and rat king. I don't really mind losing the glimmer or upgrade modules but wheres rat king gone to? They still haven't appeared in my inventory.

I'm missing at least half of my glimmer. I'm also missing a couple of enhancement cores, a little bit of dusklight, a couple of ghost fragments, and a T-II Charge of Light. Oddly, it looks like I have an extra couple of dark fragments & mod components. I don't think any of it is a big deal, since I can probably get the glimmer back in 30 minutes, but it is aggravating.

And the IB missions that I completed just before being kicked out the game, (The Rout, Victory Banners and Oath of the Pack) are now back to being uncompleted, with 10 hours left on them, and obvs no IB left... Thanks Bungo... At least you left me with the correct amounts of BD, Shards, Glimmer etc...

Edited by My old name got censored: 1/29/2020 7:52:13 AMI was doing "the corrupt" strike when I saw an exotic engram dropped. It turned out to be a huckleberry, which was a weapon I didn't have. But now, after the non needed rollback, it has disappeared. I don't see how losing materials is a big problem, as you can buy loads from Spider, and silver... Well... Just get a job and buy some more, or show bungie a receipt. My point is that getting materials is not hard and the rollback was not needed. I am upset with this patch and would like my huckleberry back.

and so I lost, I ended up losing 400 dust for the missed orders ... ok ... my dust purchases were also canceled, ok ... maybe the bungie rolled out some kind of compensation? and stop, this is a bungie - for them it is in the order of things.

I bought exotics from Xur just before reset, including isachronal engram and now all the exotics are gone... like the purchase did not happen.. pretty disappointing..

Please ignore the idiots complaining in senseless fashion, they are annoying nerds that seem to have a love hate relationship with your game and nothing else to do in life. Good for business i guess, the more bitter the better, and if they leave.. well good riddance I would never play with a guardian that throws temper tantrums as some of them are posting. D1 working is a wondrous nostalgic experience I have an excuse to now launch... P.S. wish it were on PC as well. Keep up the good work, great job on system backups!! For the complainers... its not simply testing patches before going live, or restoring a database of millions of accounts running on thousands of computers from a backup in a timely fashion. an re-implementing the revised patch and weekly reset activities to go live properly. If you are complaining about 1 hour of progress being lost and haven't experienced being dropped from D-Servers on the last round of Trials, last damage phase of Oryx, raid loot chest that was about to be opened.. then stop complaining... the guardians that have experienced all that have no issue right now and are not the ones complaining... contribute or go play another game that has a sub-par loot system, poor shooter mechanics, or cartoon graphics... one of those Activision or EA games.. i bet they have 100% up-time with no issue.

Hi bungie I'm trying to play destiny 2 but it says problem reading game content. I am on the xbox one. I've already reset the game multiple times and my xbox but it's still not even letting me in the game at all.

I lost all my progress on shattered throne. Thankfully , I'm only on the second part, but I'm not looking forward to do the first part all over again. Oh well.
