Sunsetting —- reverse our deletions then!!
I bought Final Shape because things were going well, I was pleased with the band aid but now unsunsetting? It punishes us for taking I for your word!’ Think I might cancel my purchase

3 RepliesTaking their words...they never said "delete your guns" You could still use them in many activities such as dungeons..missions..raids..pvp. If peoole deleted weapons they loved its their fault, not bungies fault.

Fast forward a few years later to today they find out they have enough space to reverse the sunsetting of the weapons. Not once did Bungie lie to anyone. We were told what they knew as they knew it. We are on the final stretch of D2 and we have been blessed with some older weapons coming back. They are not as good as what we have now so the only thing people are missing out on is nostalgia This is also a prime example to not follow the sheep. Datto and plenty of other influencers convince players to make space and make space players did.

31 RepliesHonestly I don't get all the vitriol. People HATED vanilla D2 weapons, absolutely HATED them. Now people are pissed that they deleted them, because they are coming back. Old weapons, with fixed perks, most of which are not very good anymore. The valuable weapons have already largely been brought back, but no, people want largely worthless weapons to come back for, reasons.

6 RepliesAlmost all of the old weapons are power crept, recluse - back, mountaintop - back, 21 Percent - other options. Literally none of the old weapons are crazy and you can find other weapons to use in replace of them. In fact, I would make the argument you already HAVE found replacements of your old weapons. Really not a big deal, I can’t see a weapon that’s “sunset” that will create issues when it becomes “in-sunset.”

Just make them starter craftable weapons. Bungie seems to be going in very hard on the “Make the game more approachable to new players” for TFS, so you might as well give them some starter craftable weapons.

Not many were happy about sunsetting, I was hands down one of the most outspoken people on the forums about it. Youre crying about gear that’s over 5 years old and 99% of it is now power crept and irrelevant. With that said I will enjoy using my Kindled Orchids until I get a better (new) version. Stop playing instead of threatening refund nonsense. Its played out at this point.

You're going to blame Bungie for YOUR decision to dismantle a weapon that YOU chose to dismantle because YOU decided it wasn't worth keeping? Sunset gear could still be used in: patrols, strikes, quickplay pvp, private matches, and other low-end content. YOU chose to delete it because you couldn't use it in high-end content, and that is YOUR decision. Bungie doesn't owe you anything for YOUR decision. If the gun meant that much to you, you would have kept it for the memories or for the fun of using it in pvp or low-end content. YOU decided the gun wasn't worth as much as whatever you replaced it with. Bungie doesn't owe you anything.

If you refund and never play again, you’ll never be able to get the guns since they’re planning on bringing them back (with origin traits this time mind you). Yes, it’s tragic that they went back on their word and we can’t get the old ones back. But they plan on implementing them sometime down the road.

Lmao - how? Do you think Bungie has data of what you’ve deleted since Beyond Light? Do you think doing a rollback of 3 and 1/2 years is viable? Do you think Bungie has the man-power to manually oversee the return of our deleted rolls? You’re just complaining about something that happened over 3 years ago about weapons that 95% of them would not be viable in today’s sandbox.
